Day #3 - part 2

Back at the workshop, Mirek did a lecture and demonstration on how to cut the head from the block of wood.






And then a lecture about the different chisels and how to use them correctly.

As the carving guide, we had Sota Satoma.
He had some tiny great looking puppets to show.












Then we were ready to start carving :)


I also got very inspired by Sota's puppets - so I sketch quickly a tiny turtle design.
I don't know if I'll be able to make it now, but I hope so.



After some hours of carving, we had to stop... ;)
Day 3 over.






I bet I'll be feeling it in my hand tomorrow.
